Job Title: Credit Controller (Ref: Dam-CRED)
Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer,
The key responsibilities of this role shall be to:
• Continually assess credit worthiness of new and existent customers
• Maintain up to date customer records and details
• Anticipate and identify accounts that will require special attention
• Handle queries, solve problems and make adjustments where appropriate
• Handle and resolve disputed accounts
• Undertake complex reconciliations and compile documentation for legal action where applicable
• Represent and protect the company’s interests at credit meetings relating to insolvent customers
Qualifications and Competencies
• Effective communication and report writing skills.
• Good supervisory skills
• An understanding of legal aspects and action related to debt recovery
• An understanding of credit control and debt recovery processes and procedure
• University Degree/Diploma
• Intermediary Professional Accounting qualification
• At least 3 years work experience credit control.
