Job Title: CREDIT OFFICER- AGRICULTURAL LENDING SCHEME
PRIDE MICROFINANCE LIMITED (MDI), the leading Microfinance Deposit-Taking Institution in Uganda, supervised by Bank of Uganda with 30 networked branches countrywide and an equal opportunity employer, wishes to recruit competent, hard-working and results oriented persons in the position of CREDIT OFFICER – AGRICULTURAL LENDING SCHEME. The Credit Officer – Agricultural Lending Scheme will be reporting to the Credit Administrator and will be responsible for “recruiting of clients and visiting prospective clients’ businesses and homes to assess credit worthiness.
Specific responsibilities include:-
Marketing the Agricultural loan product.
Client mobilization, sensitization and training.
Loan disbursements.
Follow- up and recovery of loans.
Ensuring proper filing of all Agricultural loan documentation.
Cross-sell the company’s products to clients and enhance / protect the reputation of the company at all times.
Contribute positively to branch performance by continuously achieving all set targets.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirement:
The ideal candidates should have a Bachelors' degree from a reputable Institution with good grades in Agricultural economics, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Land Use and Management, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural and Rural Innovation or in any other relevant / related field.
Person Specifications:
The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, self-driven and eager to learn.
He/she must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer literacy will be an added advantage
Candidates should not be more than 27 years of age.
Should be fluent in commonly used local languages and should be willing to work at any of our branches where we have operations.
