District Health Officer Job Vacancy at Kamwenge District Local Government


Job Title: District Health Officer (One vacancy)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following vacant posts in Kamwenge District Local Government.
Post : District Health Officer (One vacancy) Re-advertised Ref : DSC/156/5/DHO/KDLG Type of Appt. : Promotional Salary scale : U IE (other benefits are negotiable) Age Limit : 30-50 years.
Requirement:
An MB.Ch.B or BDS or its equivalent degree from recognized university.
Masters degree in Public Health, or its equivalent from recognized institution.
Nine (9) years working experience in clinical practices three (3) of which at senior health services management level.
Should be registered and licensed with relevant council.
Postgraduate diploma in Public Administration Management is an added advantage. Duties:
Planning, Directing, Monitoring and Evaluating the delivery of health services
Ensuring and Accounting for allocated resources.
Ensuring implementations of National Health Policy.
Tendering advice on Health related issues
Compiling and submitting reports to CAO
Providing technical guidance and support to health centres
Carrying out, monitoring and evaluation of health programmes in the district.
Carrying out human resource management functions like identifying manpower needs, training, mentoring, coaching, promotion, leave, deployment and periodic assessment of health staff

Serving officers should route their applications through their respective heads of department. Photocopies of academic documents, CV and any other relevant documents, as well as 3 recent passport size photographs should be attached to each form.
