Parttime Associate Consultants Jobs at Uganda Management Institute (UMI)


Job Title: ASSOCIATE CONSULTANTS FOR THE CENTRES OF; MBALE, GULU AND MBARARA
Job Description

a) Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Developing training programmes
(ii) Developing training materials and case studies
(iii) Facilitating on training programmes of the Institute.
(iv) Evaluating the impact of training given to participants.
(v) Carry out consultancy services to UMI Clients.
(vi) Supervising students carrying out research projects as part of their training

(b) Person Specifications:
(i) A Masters Degree from a recognized University/ Institution with specialization in any of the following:
a. Financial Accounting
b. Management Accounting
c. Financial Management
d. Marketing Management
e. Public Sector Management
f. Public-Private Sector Partnerships
g. Quantitative Methods for Decision Making
h. Corporate Strategy and Decision Making
i. Business Legal Framework
j. Human Resource Management for Public Sector
k. Transport Policy Planning and Management
l. Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
m. Production and Operations Management
n. Micro-Finance Operations and Management
o. Logistics Management
p. Information Technology/Information Systems
q. Monitoring and Evaluation
(ii) A relevant Bachelors Degree (Hons) from a recognized University/ Institution.
(iii) Applicants possessing relevant professional qualifications will have an added advantage.
(v) Should have at least two years’ teaching experience at post graduate level in higher Institutions of learning or three years working experience in Public, Private or NGO Sectors.
(vi) Should have excellent presentation skills and good knowledge of power point presentation.
(vii) Should be able to deliver high quality training to adult learners.
(viii) Should be based/living in the Centre towns of Gulu or Mbarara or Mbale

Associate Consultants shall be paid an hourly time rate as per Institute’s policy. Successful candidates on being appointed serve two year renewable contracts.
