About this Job:
ActionAid is an International Development Agency working in over 50 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. ActionAid’s mission is to work with the poor and the excluded people in the world to eradicate poverty by overcoming the injustices and the inequity that cause it. ActionAid Uganda seeks to recruit competent persons to fill the vacancies below;

Reports to: Project Coordinator (Women Protection Centres Project)
Location: Mubende, Pallisa, Nebbi, Kween,
Katakwi, Kumi, Amuru, Bwaise

Key Result Areas
i. Work closely with the local rights program team and the Project Coordinator to ensure timely planning, implementation and reporting of the project activities in line with the project guidelines.
ii. Manage and resolve any obstacle to delivery of project activities in liaison with the Project Coordinator and the Program Coordinator of the project area,
iii. Ensure high quality monitoring, evaluation and reporting on the Protection Centre activities in line with the project and ActionAid’s guidelines,
iv. Compile and manage a risk register for the project activities in your location,
v. Ensure accurate plans and budgets are prepare and implemented in accordance with project work plan,
vi. Liaise with Project Coordinator to produce quality quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports,
vii. Design and implement relevant capacity building programmes for various Key stakeholders,
viii. Provide logistical support to the centre in liaison with the Local Rights Program team in
accordance with organizational policies,
ix. Collate quality learning from the project and communicate widely internally and externally for
shared learning.
x. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Project Coordinator.

Requirement:
Qualification and Experience:
A minimum of an Honours Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Development studies or Law.
At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience from a recognized institution/organization.
Knowledge of Gender, Human rights and gender based violence issues will be an added advantage.
Should be willing and able to ride a motorcycle.
