BRAC Uganda invites applications from qualified Ugandan Nationals to fill up the following vacant positions:

Job Title: Area Coordinator (Agriculture) Females are encouraged to apply

Job Location: Any part of Uganda (BRAC Operational Areas) but require extensive field visit for monitoring, supervision and staff development

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
 Identify the local cropping patterns.
 Final selection of Model farmers, Community agriculture promoters, General farmers and Block farmers.
 Prepare the training module considering local cropping patterns, irrigation, seed rate, local pests and control methods.
 Regularly visit the Branch office as well as farmers’ fields and advise them on good practices for better productivity.
 Coordination with the local government, non government organization and other development partners under his/ her jurisdiction.
 Prepare monthly action plan for Project Assistants (Agriculture) and regular follow up the progress of activities.
 Prepare the report, consolidate and send to the Regional/ Country office.


Requirement:

Qualifications/Requirements:
 Bachelors of Science in Agriculture/ Crop Science.
 Minimum 1year working experience in the field of Agriculture
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 Riding a Motorcycle is a must with a valid permit license
 Age must be within 30 years
