Accountant Assistant Job Vacancy at Uganda Energy Credit Capitalisation Company (UECC)



 Job Title : Accountant Assistant

Reports to : Accountant

1.0 Main Purpose

To support the Manager, Finance and Administration and Accountant in the Management of UECCC’s Finance Function.

2.0 Key Outputs

Properly written vouchers with supporting documents ;
Collection of all accountabilities for advances;
Submission of all monthly Returns and Acknowledgements to statutory bodies;
Filing of accounts documents;
Handling and accounting for Office Imprest;
Monthly update of Cash Books and reconciliation of Accounts.

3.0 Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare Payment vouchers, and seek necessary approvals ;
Follow up accountabilities for all advances made to staff;
Prepare and submit monthly returns to URA and NSSF;
Collect acknowledgements from suppliers who have been paid ;
Deliver financial information to UECCC external stake holders as required ;
Filing of Accounts documents;
Replenish and properly account for Office Imprest.
Update Bank Cash Books for all Bank Accounts;
Receive and issue of Office supplies.
Prepare monthly reports on supplies usage and requisition for replenishment.
Any other duties as assigned by Management.

4.0 Person Specifications

A good diploma in Accounting
At least 3 years relevant working experience gained at a reputable organization;
Must be computer literate.
Possess good analytical and interpersonal skills.

5.0 Terms and Conditions of service

Four (4) years of renewable contract including six months probation, with an attractive remuneration package.
