Job Title: Logistics Officer

Job Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Logistics Officer/ fleet Manager, the incumbent will assist in the management and operation of WFP logistics Intervention Fleet in Kampala and will be required to undertake the following

Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage and monitor the performance of the trucks/ trailers in order to achieve maximum utilization
• Schedule and route vehicles for timely deliveries of both food and non food items for operational needs
• Forecast and prepare orders for spare parts, tires and materials required for the operation Essential

Qualifications and Experience:
• A university degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, statistics, economics, quality assurance, technical, or management obtained from a recognized institution
• At least one year of post graduate professional experience in a one or more of the transportation and ancillary sectors
 • Good knowledge and skills in using MS Office
