The Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) is a membership-based organization registered in Kenya with country offices in Uganda and Tanzania. Our members are key stakeholders and players in the grain value chain including cereal growers, millers and processors drawn from within and outside the East Africa States. Our core mandate is to develop and jpromote orderly structured marketing systems and provide market information for grains so as to reduce transaction costs and eliminated barriers’ to regional trade. We seek to fill the above position of Country Programme Manager- Uganda with-an individual who has good analytical, organizational and communication skills, is capable of working independently and as part of a team. You should be highly professional, self motivated and a proven high achiever with good leadership skills.
Reporting to the Executive Director you will be charged with the responsibility of initiating, developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating all EAGC Uganda programmes. You will also manage all budgets and budget approvals. Based in Kampala, your job profile will include the following among other things:
Coordinate, manage and implement the EAGC Uganda Chapter Strategic Plan
Coordinate, Manage and ensure implementation of EAGC Uganda programs and projects
Co-ordinate EAGC Uganda advocacy agenda
Manage all EAGC Operations in Uganda
Manage all EAGC Uganda Staff, partnerships and outsourced consultants
Manage EAGC Uganda budgets including fund raising

Requirement:
Requirements:
You will be an Agricultural Economics or Business Administration University Degree Holder or
equivalent in a related field relevant to the commodity trading sector.
At least 3 years of relevant experience in the agricultural or grain sector. We are seeking for a resourceful individual, with strong and persuasive interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work and deliver under pressure and with minimum supervision.
