Job Title: AGRO PASTORAL FIELD SCHOOL COORDINATOR (2 Vacant Posts)
Job Description
Duty station: Amudat
Reports to: Manager APFS
Starting date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
• The Coordinator plans and implements activities together with the manager and Agro Pastoral Field School facilitators the APFS project
• The Coordinator ensures monitoring and reporting of the project in line with donor requirements
• The Coordinator oversees APFS Facilitators and ensures correct implementation of the APFS approach in the field
• Motivates and stimulates APFS facilitators on working and living in the communities of the project.
• Main project components sensitization and formation of farmer groups, extension work according the APFS approach in post conflict settings.
Requirements:
• Proven knowledge of the APFS approach; having worked as APFS Facilitator , good management, planning, communication, facilitation skills
• Excellent command of English
• Inventive, creative and enthusiastic person
• Willingness to live and work in a Amudat district
• Degree or Diploma in Agric, extension other relevant field
• At least 3 years successful experience in APFS projects as facilitator or coordinator
• Good computer skills,
• Self motivator, having the ability to work with limited supervision
• Experienced in Motorcycle driving and having valid MC driving permit
• Knowledge of Swahili and Pokot is an advantage
