Human Resource Administrator Job Vacancy In Uganda at I.T Firm



Job Title:Human Resource Administrator/ Personal Assistant

Job Objective:

To manage the Human Resource function
To plan, supervise and co-ordinate the provision of administrative support to all departments and staff to facilitate effective and smooth operations
To provide secretarial services to the Managing Director

Reports to: Deputy Managing Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan for resources required and organise for their availability
Ensure cleanliness of office premises
Supervise and provide effective leadership to support staff and maintain good teamwork among them
Ensure co-ordinated and cost effective deployment of vehicles and equipment
Ensure proper administration of incoming and outgoing mail
Oversee the maintenance and repairs of equipment and premises
Initiate and develop HR policies and procedures
Co-ordinate the purchase of office supplies
Design and effect a communication strategy.
Coordinate communication and feedbacks on HR issues.

Design and implement staff welfare systems in line with the corporate strategy and Human resources Management Manual
Maintain HR computerised records
Prepare for and co-ordinate recruitment / selection exercises
Organise induction of new staff
Advise management on Human Resource issues, e.g. Human Resource planning, managing change, employee counselling
Advise and make recommendations to managerial staff on aspects such as discipline and grievance handling, selection interviewing, exit interviewing and performance management
Prepare HR reports like monthly reports, leave roaster, time sheet summary etc
Monitor staff daily attendance

Good understanding of the current labour Laws of Uganda
Good knowledge of Training Needs Analysis

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities plus Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences plus a additional qualifications in Administration.
Performance management, Administration, planning and organising.
Public Relations experience
2 years work experience
