Marketing Officer Job Vacancy at I.T Firm in Kampala



Job Title:Marketing Officer

Job Objective:

To increase visibility of the Company in the market, and in turn lead to growth in Sales Revenue and market share.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for promoting the company brand name and products to prospective clients and relevant stake holders
Develop strategies to guide the sales team
Participate in setup of the Tinosoft Limited’s experience centre
Undertake Business Development Activities like looking for tendering opportunities
Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process that is largely dictated by the prospective customer;
Researching consumer markets, monitoring market trends and identifying potential areas in which to invest, based upon consumer needs and spending habits
Looking at the pricing of products and analyzing the potential profitability
Assist in generating names for new and existing products and services, coming up with ideas for new packaging designs, including shape, size, colours, fonts and imagery
Overseeing the production, advertisements, email campaigns, websites, exhibition stands, and road shows and liaising with art designers.
Supervising the sign off of marketing literature, communication and campaigns, liaising with legal and compliance personnel, ensuring the designs and messages meet the company brand and regulatory guidelines
Monitoring product distribution and consumer reactions through focus groups and market research
Co-ordinating the launch programme to external customers as well as employee
Identifying and establishing contact with potential customers proactively.
Maintaining contact with new and existing customers to advertise the product sales and deliver a detailed account strategy.
Responding to sales inquiries from new and existing customers.
Delivering presentations of the company products at conferences, customer sites and exhibitions.
Attending user group meetings and trade exhibitions.
Maintaining the company’s contact database management with up-to-date contact, accurate and activity details.
Delivering platform presentations, publications, posters at conferences.
Testing very new product releases to support product development team.
Providing feedback of potential customers and members to enhance product functioning and the service delivery.
Assisting to identify the opportunities for upcoming products, and for development and enhancement of existing products.
Motivating all sales staff to share relevant data about the market in facilitating the ease of retrieval, recording, and use of information.
Monitoring and reporting the potential collaborators and competitor activities and identifying business threats and opportunities.

Competences:

Good instinctive feeling about future product concepts
Good analytical skills
Good listening and able to respond to results and consumer research
Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing
Possess ability to plan and organize
Be enthusiastic about their product area.

Qualifications:

1st Class or Upper Second Class degree in marketing or related field. Professional qualification in Marketing or its equivalent from a reputable institution.
Proposal writing, PR & Communication.
Experience in IT sector.
Minimum of 2 years work experience.
Knowledge of IT sector ,
