Job Title: REGIONAL BUSINESS MANAGER (NORTH)

REGIONAL BUSINESS MANAGER (NORTH)
Reporting to: the National Sales Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
To deliver on set regional revenue targets in the following channels of business and ensure growth in each area: i) Distribution; ii) Corporate Sales: iii) Service Centers: iv) M-Sente; and v) Finance
To manage network efficiency by monitoring regional site fuel allocation and ensure meaningful ROI on regional sites OPEX;
To generate regional specific marketing strategies (promotions, outdoor and indoor visibility events) coordinated with the marketing department in execution and ensure meaningful ROI on all marketing expenditure in the region (above and below the line);
To develop and manage the regional annual plan and budget for all divisions present in the region and ensure ROI as a whole i.e.: Distribution, Corporate Sales, Service Centers, M-Sente, Technical and Finance;
To manage the regional fleet and ensure meaningful monthly ROI on regional fleet fuel usage;
To manage entire regional workforce and ensure a meaningful regional labor cost revenue ratio;
To manage- PR (TV, Press, Radio) and CSR activities in the region in collaboration with the communication/PR/Marketing Department;
To manage all company assets & inventory in the region and ensure optimum usage of all profitable assets;
To manage and monitor regional cash advances and ensure proper accountability and reconciliation
To carry business intelligence surveys and develop niche market segments with specific needs across the region;
To coordinate all administrative functions in the region while adhering to the company policies and procedures
To manage all legal issues in the region in coordination with the legal department;
To ensure recruitment and retention of the best talent in the region in collaboration with the HR department.
Requirement:
5 years leadership of a solutions sales team within the telecommunications or FMCG sector.
Marketing degree or equivalent plus, membership of a professional association.
Proven track record of consultative sales in a telecommunications or ICT environment.
The successful candidates will demonstrate:
Ability to lead the corporate and SME decision-making processes to create and deliver shareholder value based on Uganda Telecom's core competence.
Analytical thinker who can recognise trends and opportunities and plan/execute action to exploit business opportunities.
Situational and transformational leadership skills.
Excellent communications skills to deal with people at all levels and backgrounds.
Personal commitment to meet or exceed all targets and objectives
Ability to understand the needs of employees and to apply best
practice people management techniques to ensure a motivated and productive workforce.
Ability to present compelling business cases for major investment corporate and SME sales.
Ability to set customer expectations and take action to meet these expectations.
 Ability to work with cross-functional teams and lead teams to achieve business objectives.
Utmost professional integrity.
Consultative-based selling skills.
