Job Title: HIV/AIDS NUTRITION TECHNICAL ADVISOR
University Research Co., LLC (URC), a US-based public health organization working in Uganda since 2005, is Implementing the USAID-funded SUSTAIN project. The program supports provision of quality, comprehensive HIV/AIDS services at over 30 health care facilities across the country. URC is seeking qualified candidate for the following positions based in Kampala:
HIV/AIDS NUTRITION TECHNICAL ADVISOR (1 position)
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the SUSTAIN project Chief of Party (DCOP), the HIV/AIDS Nutrition Technical Advisor will work closely with the capacity building, Clinical care, PMTCT, Community linkages, Quality Improvement, psychosocial care/counseling and pharmaceutical logistics, M&E Advisors and other stakeholders to integrate nutrition in to the ongoing project activities at SUSTAIN supported facilities.
Requirement:
Minimum of MBChB or its equivalent from a recognized institution and a post-graduate qualification in Nutrition.
Training in HIV/AIDS with demonstrable knowledge and practical experience working with HIV/AIDS and nutrition including technical expertise to the MoH in Uganda
Experience in training, supervising, and mentoring/ coaching health care service providers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
