Job Title: SAFE MALE MEDICAL CIRCUMCISION TECHNICAL ADVISOR
University Research Co., LLC (URC), a US-based public health organization working in Uganda since 2005, is Implementing the USAID-funded SUSTAIN project. The program supports provision of quality, comprehensive HIV/AIDS services at over 30 health care facilities across the country. URC is seeking qualified candidate for the following positions based in Kampala:
SAFE MALE MEDICAL CIRCUMCISION TECHNICAL ADVISOR (1 position)
Job Summary
Under the supervision of the SUSTAIN project Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP), the Safe Male Medical Circumcision Technical Advisor will be responsible for taking lead in implementation of safe male medical circumcision activities at SUSTAIN supported facilities. The Advisor will work closely with the project Clinical Care Technical Advisor and Capacity Building Advisor and other stakeholders to plan, coordinate and implement SMMC activities at supported facilities.
Requirement:
Minimum of MBCHB from a recognized institution with postgraduate training in Public Health or related field.
Should be registered with Medical and Dental Practitioners' Council.
Experience in SMMC programming will be an added advantage.
Training in HIV/AIDS with demonstrable knowledge and practical experience working with HIV/AIDS and including providing clinical HIV/AIDS in Uganda.
Experience in training, supervising, and coaching other health care service providers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
