Project Coordinator Job Vacancy at Saferworld, Uganda


Job Title: Project Coordinator

Saferworld is an independent non-governmental organisation that works with civil society, governments and international organisations to prevent and reduce violent conflict and promote cooperative approaches to security. Saferworld has been working in Africa since 1997, with a primary focus upon East Africa and the Horn region. We have well-established programmes in Kenya, Uganda, Somalia and South Sudan and also support regional and international conflict prevention and security-building processes. Saferworld headquarters are in London, with offices in Nairobi, Kampala and Juba.
We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team, based in Kampala (Nairobi could also be considered), to work on issues of conflict analysis and relationship- building as part of developing our new Sudan country programme.
Requirement:
Excellent and Arabic and ability to work with a range of actors are essential.
Strong knowledge of conflict analysis and advocacy work also required.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience of NGO project implementation and an in- depth knowledge of conflict issues in Sudan.
S/he will also have a Master's degree in conflict transformation or a related field, or equivalent experience.
