The National Fisheries Resources Research Institute (NaFIRRI) is one of the Public Agricultural Research Institutes established by the National Agricultural Research Act, 2005. The Institute is mandated to undertake Research of strategic nature and of national importance in Capture Fisheries and Aquaculture under the policy guidance of National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO). Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans for the positions below:

Department: Water Quality Section – Kajjansi ARDC Reporting to: Head, Water Quality Age Limit: 25-45 years

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Ordinary Diploma in Science Technology (Chemistry) supported by at least Credit passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and English at O-level and a combination at A-level that includes Chemistry and Biology.

•    Additional qualifications in Water Quality, Environmental Science, Analytical and Industrial Chemistry are strong added advantages.

•    Minimum of two years relevant working experience gained from a reputable institution.

•    Demonstrated ability in the use of appropriate analytical equipment (e.g. AAD, GLC, HPLC, Auto-Analysers, etc).
