Branch Manager Job Vacancy in Uganda at Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS)


Job Title: Branch Manager (Two Positions)

Reporting to: Regional Program manager
Duty Station: URCS Entebbe and Nebbi Branches
Grade:             UR 6-1
Duration:       Three Years

Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Oversees the design and development of project proposals from community needs assessment reports; branch planning, budgeting and implementation of activities in line with the branch plans and URCS Strategic Plan 2011 – 2015.

• Works with the Branch Governing Board (BG B) and Program Managers to support planning and branch capacity building within the branch.

• Develops and supports the implementation of resource mobilization strategies to address community vulnerability and branch sustainability in line with the Strategic Plan. ,

• Ensures that work plans, budgets and reports are drawn to i ‘ guide the implementation of project/program activities in the branch.

•  Orients and ensures adherence to URCS Constitution,

policies, procedure and systems at branch level, j-  Supports, supervises, reviews,- monitors and appraises j    performance of Branch Staff and Volunteers. :*   Initiates, supports and implements strategies for membership,    and volunteer motivation, engagement and recruitment. ‘• Ensures proper usage and safe custody of assets and    compliance with the National Society financial manual within the branch.

• Approves and monitors expenditure and accountability of

funds in accordance to URCS standards

• Takes charge of the overall running of the day to day i    activities of the branch;

* Represents the National Society in all networking, operations ‘    and other relevant events at Branch level.



Requirement:
Minimum qualifications and working experience: University degree in Primary Health Care, Social Sciences, :SWASA, Development Studies or Education; Training in Project Management, Community Development, Education, Health, Emergency, Disaster Management, Conflict Resolution •; desirable etc. Minimum of 2 years relevant working experience in development conflict situations and emergency response management in an NGO setting; Thorough understanding and commitment to vulnerable and affected community issues, : District Local Government structures. Effective team player with excellent communication skills; Computer literate skills.
