Job Title: HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER (RECRUITMENT & EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT)

Job Description

SALARY SCALE: UAC 6                        

REPORTS TO     : DIRECTOR HUMAN RESOURCE & ADMINISTRATION        

Purpose

The Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing advice and support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, training and development, performance management, adherence to policies and employee relations

Duties and Responsibilities

To analyze the different jobs and develop job descriptions and person specifications
To coordinate the employee recruitment and selection process
To prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters and any other staff correspondences
To develop and conduct employee orientation and induction programmes
To prepare an annual training plan for the Commission
To organize and manage training programmes and events in line with the Training Plan
To provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations
To provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company polities and procedures
Qualifications

A Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Social Sciences or Humanities from a recognized institution
A Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource
Experience

A Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Human Resource Management

Experience in training needs analysis, training design and development and training delivery is essential for this role.
