Job Description
SALARY SCALE: UAC5
REPORTS TO : HEAD- DECENTRALIZED RESPONSE
RESPONSIBLE FOR: ZONAL FIELD OFFICERS
Purpose of the Job
To provide a linkage between Uganda AIDS Commission (UAC) and Local
Governments in coordinating the implementation of the national strategic plan for HIV/ AIDS in assigned regions.
Duties and Responsibilities
To supervise HIV/AIDS interventions under taken by Local Governments
To coordinate Regional advocacy and communication initiatives
To provide technical support to the decentralized coordination structures in order to perform their functions
To support Local Governments in preparation of Work plans and budgets for HIV/AIDS
To monitor implementation of HIV/AIDS work plans
To supervise and appraise the Zonal Coordination staff in the respective region
To submit annual Zonal Coordination Work plans and budgets to the Head- Decentralized Response
To coordinate District and or regional HIV fora and events
Person Specifications
Qualifications
A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. B.Com, Social Sciences or Humanities from a recognized institution
A Post graduate qualification in Public Administration or Management /Development Studies from a recognized institution.
A Masters degree would be an added advantage
Experience
A minimum of Four (4) years’ experience in a management position in Government or a reputable organization.
Experience with Local Governments is an added advantage
