Job Title: SUPERVISOR RECORDS AND REGISTRIES (1 VACANCY) REF. DSC 15/70/02 SALARY SCALE: UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE-KCCA 6 AGE: 30 YEARS AND ABOVE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Records/Archives Management or Library and Information Science or any other qualification in the field of records/Archives and information management plus a minimum of a Post Graduate Diploma in any of the above or related discipline from a recognized University/Institution.
Applicants should have at least five (5) years relevant working experience, three [3] of which should have been gained at the level of Senior Records Officer or supervisory level or equivalent level of experience in Records and Information Management from a reputable organization.
He/she should have the following key competences; Records & Information Management, Management and supervision competences, managing a business unit with multiple and challenging task, Strategic thinking and planning, oral and written communication, setting up a high performing team and proven integrity and confidentiality
DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Deputy Director for performing the following duties:-
 Planning and developing a filing system procedure for all documents in the Authority in line with the approved filing guidelines.
 Reviewing, adding information for classification of indexes and selecting an established system of subject headings as guides for filing documents and materials.
 Training and instructing records officers to collect, review, compile, and classify records and information for accurate and rapid retrieval.
 Developing and implementing system and procedure for storage, disposition, and disposal of documents, records and materials in line with the approved filling guidelines

 Providing administrative services to records centres and registries ensuring that they confirm to the recommended standards in line with the Administration and Human Resources Management Directorate.
 Supervising the maintenance of accurate and completing record of registries and record centres in line with KCCA records and registries management
 Managing the performance of staff under direct supervision in accordance with the Performance Management guidelines.
