KCCA Jobs - Fleet and Transport Logistics Officer Job Vacancy


Job Title: FLEET AND TRANSPORT LOGISTICS OFFICER (1 VACANCY) REF. DSC 15/70/01 SALARY SCALE: UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE-KCCA 7 AGE: 28 YEARS AND ABOVE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Organizational Psychology or Logistics and Transport management or (Commerce or Business Administration Management Option) or Public Administration or Management or Arts or Social Science or any other course in the field of Human Resource Management/Public Administration and Management or Social work and Social Administration plus a minimum of a certificate in fleet management system from a recognized institution.
Possession of a minimum of a post graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or Public Administration and Management or Organizational and Industrial Psychology or Business Administration (Management option) from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
Applicants should have a minimum of Two (2) years working experience in Fleet and Transport Management gained at officer level in Government or equivalent level of relevant working experience from a reputable organization.
He/she should have the following key competences: Integrity and confidentiality, implementing fleet and transport management policies , oral and written communication competences, interpersonal relations, and ability to work as a team, ability to work and produce accurate results in an environment with multiple and challenging tasks an ability to meet timelines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Supervisor for performing the following duties:-
 Processing KCCA Vehicle License/Insurance Covers in line with the Authority Procedures and Traffic Road Safety Act and any other applicable regulations.
 Preparing budget estimates for Motor Vehicle License, Third Party Insurance fees, servicing and repairs and preparing budget performance reports in line with KCCA Corporate Plan.
 Following up and securing compensation from Insurance Companies of KCCA Vehicles involved in accidents or stolen in line with Insurance Policies and Traffic Road Safety Act and any other applicable regulations.

 Processing fuel and Motor Vehicle repair Orders for Transport Supervisors’ approval in line with KCCA Transport Policies and Guidelines.
 Establishing status and maintaining a data bank for KCCA Vehicles, their mechanical conditions, service particulars, Licenses and Drivers etc and generate status reports in line with KCCA Transport Guidelines and Management Procedures.
 Assessing the performance of Drivers, initiating and implementing their transfers and systematic handover.
