Manager Administration Job Opportunity at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA)



Job Title: MANAGER ADMINISTRATION AND RECORDS MANAGEMENT (1 VACANCY) REF. DSC 15/70/01 SALARY SCALE: UGANDA GOVERNMENT SCALE-KCCA 5 AGE: 30 YEARS AND ABOVE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND WORKING EXPERIENCE:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honor’s Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Organizational Psychology or Business Administration (Management Option) or Public Administration or Management or Arts or Social Science or any other course in the field of Human Resource Management/Public Administration and Management or Social work and Social Administration plus Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Public Administration and Management or Organizational and Industrial Psychology or Business Administration (Management option) from a recognized University
Applicants should have a minimum of 7 years working experience in general Administration three (3) of which should have been gained at the level of Principal officer or Middle management level in Government or equivalent level of relevant working experience from a reputable organization.
He/she should have the following key Competences: developing and implementing Administration and Records management policies and Procedures, implementation of computerized records management systems, management and supervision competences, Strategic thinking and planning, oral and written communication, and setting up a high performing team, and proven integrity and confidentiality.
DUTIES:-
The incumbent will be responsible to the Deputy Director for performing the following duties:-
 Developing and supervising systems for maintenance of the authority’s power installation, equipment and office furniture in line with laid down administrative guidelines.
 Planning and supervising the execution of building works projects, and provide advice to management on technical issues relating to works, equipment and property management.
 Developing and supervising systems for maintenance of the authority’s compounds, yards and office cleaning.
 Developing and implementing a records management policy throughout the Authority in line with the records management policies and procedures.
 Supervising the management and organization of registries, records centres and archives as per policy
 Producing annual sectional business plans and budgeting for administration section in accordance with the departmental business plan.

 Evaluating validity, performance of policies and procedures on provision of administrative support including utility management.
 Coordinating responses to queries/enquiries about systems and procedure of managing utilities and provision of other administrative support services.
 Developing subordinate staff and evaluating their performance in line with performance management guidelines and the HR policies.
