ECCD Project Facilitators – 2 positions based in Kamuli & Tororo

The successful candidates will report to the Programme Unit Manager (PUM) with responsibility for Community Led Actions for Children (CLAC) project implementation in the respective geographic areas. They will lead, train, mentor and support a small team of community-based ECCD workers and volunteers within the program area. They will also be responsible for ensuring the preliminary CLAC model is implemented consistent with the project strategies, objectives, targets and budget.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

•    Building and nurturing relationships with project stakeholders.

•    Effective and efficient management and facilitation of the CLAC project in the PA., in coordination with the PUMs and Project Coordinators (PCs).

•   Contribute to action-research, documentation, reflection and learning.

•    Ensure fast-track replication of best practices emerging from the pilot site.

•    Ensuring effective project monitoring of outcomes and progress.

•   Timely and quality reporting.

•    Promote and facilitate integrated programming among the Plan PA. program team and partners.

Requirement:
Essential Qualifications and Competencies

•   A University degree in Education, Development Studies or other relevant field closely related to education

•    Demonstrated skills and experience in promoting child centered pedagogy and child friendly school environment

•    Solid understanding of best practices in non-formal education and ECCD

•   Awareness of current issues in the field of development, and in particular EFA, ECCD and UPE.

•    Experience and skills in the use of participatory approaches and rights- based programming.

•   At least 3 years professional experience in project I programme facilitation in the development field.

•    Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

•    Demonstrated experience in networking with other development partners in the field.

•   Good oral and written communication in English and local language where assigned

•   Ability to use MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint.

•   Ability and willingness to ride a motor-cycle will be a must.
