Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the post below.

MANAGER, INFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

Age: 35 and above

Salary scale: EB2
Terms of service: Contract of 2 years renewable.

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess a Bachelors Degree in either Computer Science or Software Engineering or Information Technology or Information Systems or Electronic Engineering or Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent; AMD a Masters degree in either Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Systems or Software Engineering or equivalent.
ANY of Ihe following qualifications is an added advantage:

(i) Possession of Professional qualifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP): Oracle Certified Professional (OCP); Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP] and Microsoft Certified
Professional Developer (MCPD).
(ii) A Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA).
(iii) Postgraduate diploma in Project Planning S Management.
Applicants should have at least 7 years relevant working experience in an IT environ men t, at least three (3) years of which must be at managerial level in a reputable body/ organisation/company.
Duties:
Will he responsible to the Executive Secrelary for
• Developing and maintaining an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of Ihe Board togelher with IT developmental goals, objectives and operating procedures.
• Coordinating and facilitating consultations wilh stakeholders lo define system requirements for new technologies and implementation.
• Ensuring continuous delivery of IT services through oversighl of service level agreements with end-users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
• Directing development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and continuity plans.
• Reviewing hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursuing master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
• Promoting and overseeing strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including government, vendors and partner organizations.
- Supervising recruitment process, development, retention and organization ot all IT staff in accordance with the Board budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
• Performing any other duties that may be assigned by the Executive Secretary.
