In the Livelihoods sector, GOAL Uganda will be implementing a collaborate project focusing on building productive assets al the community level through a Cash tor Work (CFW) approach In the Abim Districi In the Central region of Karamo|a. This profeci will directly address the overall objective ot die Karatxioja Livelihood Programme (KALIP) lo “protect and enhance- ihe incomes and (rod security of agro-pasloral communities and support them in building up their own productive asset base” and the specific otjectte ‘products assets omit ihrough labour intensive works and capital injected in the local economy”.

Programme Manager-Agago  Abim Districts
General Description of Ihe Role:
Reporting to the Assistant Country Director for Programmes based in Kampala, the Programme Manager will provide an overall oversight and leadership lo all programming managemenl functions in ins District. This includes programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation, sysiems (finance, Administration, Logistics £ Human Resources Management), security managemenl, donnr Compliance, reporting and programme developmeni Trie incumber will also be expected to actively seek 1 nf0 r rrwiinn on tundraing opportiftties In the area and inform the AssiStanl Country Oireclor and Country Director. The rote is ultimately about ensuring lhat GOAL staff am given clear direction, support supervision and remain productive and accountable.
Essential Requirements;
• University degree in Social Sciences or related disciplines at tertiary level ..-ii- hands cm eiq»rience in one or more sectors thai GOAL is working in:
• At leasl 5 years ol humanrtanan anrfor development experience hi managing held office based programmes
• Proven skills in performance management and capacity building related to stall training and Facilitation; .
• Strong management, project planning, organisalional. supervisory, interpersonal, and communication skills:
« finance management skills:
• Proven ability to work creatively and independently:
• Highly motivated and wilh a desire lo work with local communities
• Ability to manage stress, work In targe and multicultural teams; • Team work and inrliative to work;
• Competent in Excel, Work and Email:
• Fluency in spoken and written English language:
• Experience and willingness to live m a remote location
Desirable requirement:
• Experience in Livelihoods. HIV and WASH programming;
• Experience or knowledge ot working and living in Kararnoia and Northern Uganda.
