Job Title : Head of Information and communications Technology (ICT)

 
Job Description

Directorate: Quality Assurance
Reports to: Information Systems Manager

Job Summary: Successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the constant availability of ICT services as required for the effective and efficient implementation of Mildmay Uganda’s programmes as well as ensuring provision of ICT technical support required for activities of different programmes undertaken by Mildmay Uganda.


Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, plus training in Network Management, leading to MCSA or MCSE Certification. He/she must have at least 3 years’ experience, 2 of which should have been in a supervisory role in Information and Communication Technology support services with specific experience in Network maintenance, Server management & Disaster recovery. He/she should have demonstrable knowledge and application of current network security technologies as well as knowledge of MS Windows 2000/2003, MS Exchange and SQL Server.

For all positions above, other qualities are:  Good communication and interpersonal skills, Proficiency in various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local language(s) are crucial. Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality. Must be flexible, reliable, able to work under pressure; and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay International. Evidence of a non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
