Directorate: Clinical Services
Reports to: Head of Pharmacy
Job Summary: Successful applicant will be responsible for issuing drugs to patients at the clinic, in accordance with Mildmay Uganda policies and regulations, and assisting the Head of Pharmacy as required.
Job Requirements: Diploma in Pharmacy and certificate of registration with the relevant professional body. He/she must have at least 2 years’ clinical work experience in dispensing. He/she must have knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS care issues, Ministry of Health systems and of ARVs, TB drugs and their interactions.
For all positions above, other qualities are: Good communication and interpersonal skills, Proficiency in various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local language(s) are crucial. Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality. Must be flexible, reliable, able to work under pressure; and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay International. Evidence of a non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
