Country Operations Manager

A key member of the country management team, the Country Operations Manager will be responsible for driving and building a company footprint and presence that maintains company growth, core values, drives sales, impacts collections and motivates the team. A range of strong managerial skills are required for this role as well as the ability to operate effectively across cultures.

It is a demanding and highly exposed position, where you will have the scope and freedom to deliver. You will need to be very resilient, lead from the front but be prepared to roll your sleeves up when required.

Tasks:

Motivate and drive sales staff to reach and maintain agreed sales targets.
Manage the recruitment, training and development of sales staff and Regional Managers.
Develop strong working relationships with clients, District officials, Ministries and other key business stake holders with the aim of reaching and maintaining targets in collections efficiency.
Improve and maintain data management efficiencies.
Day to day administration of Company operational activities.
Requirement:
Qualifications:

A Degree in a Business related studies.
At least 5 years working experience at senior management level in the financial sector in Uganda
A thorough understanding of the Ugandan financial landscape.
An excellent command of MS Office with specific detailed understanding of Excel is extremely crucial; must be able to prepare spreadsheets, use pivot tables, analyze and sort data.
In depth understanding of sales, financial services and credit management principles.
Excellent communication skills i.e. verbal, written and presentation.
Must demonstrate past effective performance and clean track record.
